Ok, start with your hair in a ponytail. Roll the ponytail like you are making a spiral or cinnamon roll . The flat part should be on the back of your head. Put another ponytail holder around this to keep the roll in place. Take your hair net and open it up so that it is flat. Keeping it flat, pick it up with your finger tips and then place it on the bun. You want it to cover the entire bun. Now wrap it around. Hold the part covering the bun in place and take an edge of the hairnet. Wrap it around the bun in circles until the hairnet is tight and in place. Using bobby pins, pin the bun so that it won't move around.

I hope I helped. it can be confusing but try to follow my directions. Good luck ( :

Putting hair nets on buns are hard to do but one way to make it easier, is when doing your hair in a bun use a sock bun. To make a sock bun you just take a regular thick sock (made from cotton or something like that) and cut off the end where the toes go, and roll it so that it looks like a donut.

Put your hair in a ponytail and pull the ponytail through the hole in the sock and put your face down (look at the floor) and spread your hair all over the sock bun as evenly as possible and then put a hair tie around your hair on the sock bun, to hold it on the sock bun.

Then seperate your hair that is hanging around the bun and wrap it around, you could use bobby pins or hair ties to hold the hair around it. (you could spray each part of your hair with hair spray or gel to keep the hair together.)

NOW take the hairnet and spread it out, pull it as big as it will go, take one end and put it on top of the bun making sure that it covers your bun, hold it down with one hand and twist the remainding hair net with you other hand and lay it over the bun and keep doing this until the hairnet is all on top of the bun and put a hair tie down to hold the hair net in place and maybe even use some bobby pins.
and just for you to have some examples:
