Ballet Exercises?

What are some really good ballet exercises that make your legs/ankles strong?

There is a video program called Quick Callenetics that uses ballet moves to strengthen and tone your legs.

I had weak ankles and a doc told me to get a sock and put a few nickles in it. Sit down and rest the sock on the top of your foot. Keep your heel on the ground and lift your toes as high as you can. Then put your toe on the ground and point them into the floor as you raise your heel. Do this back and forth 25 times each foot and each day add a nickle or two. It worked great to strengthen my ankles!!

Below is the link about the video, it doesn't mention the ballet moves but I own the video and I read her book on how she created the workout.

Hope this helps, remember the best way to strengthen is through weight training.

going up onto your toes and holding legs in that position, then bending your knees in a plie and holding that position
rotate your foot in a clock-wise direction. it helps. also, point your toes and hold it there and pull your foot back.
holding plie positions and if you are flexible, it really helps with ballet
