okay i am starting ballet up again and have not done it for 3 years i am in 6th grade but i want to know how to prepare myself so i dont get hurt when i start up

Well.. knowing that you haven't done ballet in 3 years, maybe you should take it easy at first. Especially if you want to start pointe shoes. When I was doing ballet, I stopped for 5 years and then found it hard to start again without going over what I had already learned before...

So my advice to you: go over everything you learned before and THEN pick up from where you left off so you don't hurt yourself...

begin reviewing terminology. it is probably in your best interest not to dance unsupervised because it could lead to bad habits, and you don't want to have to reverse incorrect technique and play a game of catch up. if you have danced before i am sure you will catch up pretty quickly with others your age
